Hello! Hope you are well. It is that time again when I have been thinking about my yearly maintenance, a little bit like you do with your car! One of the things that I have been having done for the last few years is semi permanent make up brow tattoo. I remember being very nervous about this having this done initially and I have looked back to find the blog post from that time and you can read it here What a Wonder brow
I now know what to expect and this means I now know to check my diary and not book the appointment near a date or event and even resign the fact that I can not properly wash my face or hair for a while! This is because, for a couple of weeks, you turn into a gremlin i.e. you can not get your brows wet!!
Diary checked and appointment booked. I arrived wearing comfortable clothes and no makeup.
I was greeted warmly by Charlotte who runs ‘Features Beauty Ltd’
from ‘The Attic Spa’ in Abbeygate, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire.
Numbing cream was applied and then I was ready.
The process is explained as you go along, always taking into account your wishes as long as they are suitable for your individual needs. Your face is studied and the perfect brow, for you is designed using a pencil before the brows are tattooed with a needle.
I do not find the process painful although I do know some people that find it a little uncomfortable.
However, after just around an hour my brows are topped up. I always prefer to go darker than usual as I have quite a strong look however a lot of people prefer the natural look.
The new brows are a little itchy, but not too bad and my eyes often sting for a short while, but I do have very sensitive eyes. This just means no eye makeup and wearing glasses for a few days.
In the long run it is worth it to have perfect brows, day or night.
Treatment yearly top up is £100
I love them and can not wait for them to be totally healed in around a couple of weeks.
Then what are you waiting for?
Be your best you!
