Sunday night I set up my laptop, got out all of my make up, cleared the kitchen table and at 7pm was logged in to Zoom for ‘The Secret Make Up Club’ hosted by celebrity makeup artist and international show girl La Voix.
This is the second make up club I have attended and I have been delighted with all of the tips and recommendations of products and application techniques that are given throughout the night.
There is a step by step guide with the opportunity to discuss, experiment and ask questions. It is a small group, limited to just ten people per class. This gives a feeling of a personal one to one with a makeup artist and learning how to use the products you already have, why some of them are not the most suitable for you and which ones would be beneficial to try.
The only advice I can give you is to have a notebook to hand as there are so many tips and recommendations that you struggle to remember half of them the day after when you are browsing the shelves trying to find the item that you thought would be perfect for you.
After the first makeup club I went through my make up and streamlined it, ready to make room for my now ever growing wish list! This club has made me realise that it is not how much make up you have but how you apply it to suit you that is important and it is here you need to learn the tricks of the trade.
Do not feel embarrassed or worried about how good or bad you think your makeup skills are. I am very self conscious about my skin as I have mentioned in a blog post before https://overtherhinestonerainbow.blog/2020/05/28/make-up-not-break-up-help-needed/ and I have attended this group without make up! That is how supportive the group is.
If this all sounds interesting to you then I can not recommend enough that you check out the next Secret Make Up Club. It will be the best £35 you spend to make you look the best version of you!
