Girl A ~ Book ~Review ~Reading ~Kindle ~Entertainment

I borrowed the book ‘Girl A’ by Dan Scottow on my Amazon Prime Kindle books. It was billed as an unforgettable psychological thriller and I do admit I do enjoy a good thriller.

The story is of a seven year old girl, named Girl A, who was accused, along with an eleven year old boy, of committing a terrible crime in 1985 involving the torturing and killing of a very young boy.

The eleven year old boy was found guilty of the heinous crime and the girl was not, although after the trial her name was leaked meaning that she had to change not only her appearance and identity but start a new life.

Beth has a husband, son, daughter and a dog and a very successful career but all that is under threat when a note is delivered saying ‘FOUND YOU’ is pushed through their front door one evening. On investigation it is discovered that somebody thinks she could be Girl A. Is this all a terrible case of mistaken identity or has the past literally come back to haunt her and put her own family in danger?

I read this book over a couple of nights as it was a page turner, wanting to know what would happen next and takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions.

I admit that there are a few times I had to skip a few pages as there are quite descriptive paragraphs on child and animal torture which was too descriptive for me to read.

This is one of those books that you can not say a lot about as it would give too much away as there are so many surprise twists and turns that literally take your breath away and every time you think you have worked it out you are completely shocked that you have not!

This book is available to purchase on Kindle or in paperback from Amazon

Have you read this book? Would love to know your views and if you have any recommendations for another book you think I would like then please let me know.
