Make Up Not Break Up!~ Beauty ~MakeUp

Now I love makeup! I can not remember a time when I did not play with makeup. I remember the bright green and blue eye shadows of the 1970’s and of course no self respecting child would dare to attend a party in the late 70’s and 80’s without a smeared face of glitter!

It is to my shame that I have never learnt to apply makeup properly. I was a huge fan of the glamour of the 80’s. My favourite ever programme was Dynasty and so this is how I based my look. I dutifully followed ‘Joan Collin’s’ beauty book secrets and would never go anywhere without my red lipstick! I have stayed with the glamour look and adore the vintage and retro look.

When I was growing up I had very bad skin, to the point I saw a specialist and took medication over a number of years. This however meant that I was on the mantra that more was better! This obviously lead to a vicious cycle and I would end up looking like a clown!

I still struggle with my skin and seem to have two looks. If I don’t wear much makeup people are always asking me if I’m poorly as I look ill and when I do apply makeup I still look like a clown! I get so hot as well so photographs of me, especially in clubs have me looking like a sweaty mess!

I have such sensitive skin that I can find a product I like, buy it and then after a while it doesn’t suit me anymore! Usually meaning I now have a cupboard full of the product going to waste! If anybody has any suggestions on skin care routine, products or how to apply them then I am all ears! I had a go on my Instagram Channel.

Somebody whose makeup I totally admire and trust is La Voix. She was once a makeup artist to the stars and her own make up is nothing more than perfection. She has started bringing out her own make up range and presently has ‘Ohh la la’ La Voix Glamour red lipstick on sale which I reviewed it on an earlier post followed her make up tips on her You Tube page to apply the perfect red lip and bronzer.

Please let me know what you think! Do you have any tutorials that you think would match the look I require? Is there a product that you swear by? Please get in contact and let me know!
