It is nearly the weekend!! Yay! Although I have no idea what day, time or month we are in! Do you?
If things were normal then this would had been May bank holiday this weekend, although that had already changed because of The V E Day celebrations, which has moved the bank holiday to next Friday 8th May 2020.
Being in isolation means that we do not have to adhered to this memo and so this weekend is presenting us with a lot of drag and cabaret entertainment, on line and at a safe distance, of course!
Friday night is the return of La Voix’s Isolation Cabaret. www.facebook.com/Lavoixfanpage La Voix is the amazingly talented and hysterically funny entertainer. She has posted on her facebook page that she has a ‘NEW SHOW This Friday!! Payment via PayPal – £10 per household, and then once paid if you join this group, the show will be broadcast into another group. Thank you so much for all your support! x’
I love watching La Voix perform live and this is the very best next thing! So get your ticket and join the party!
My very talented friend Lady Wildflower has moved her Hebden Bridge Burlesque Festival on line. 11 Hebden Bridge performers, including Lady Wildflower herself and the fabulous Dolly Trolley, https://www.facebook.com/dollytrolleydrag/ will be performing their festival show zoomed straight to your living room!
Voss Events Werq The World is happening on May 2nd 8pm PST. It will be streamed in UK a little late for me so luckily it is going to be available for 48 hours afterwards https://www.facebook.com/WerqTheWorld/
It is going to be hosted again by the fabulous Bianca Del Rio and Lady Bunny
RuPauls Digital Drag Con 2020 is this weekend! Free to view on You Tube. Streaming from 12 pm PST, so 7pm in UK Saturday night, all through Sunday! Definitely worth a look as there are a long line of Drag artistes listed to perform.
This Saturday at 8pm there is also the Isolation Song Contest, which is explained here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5DU5mkW2K4&fbclid=IwAR2saFAWXXdXLnEFf-mi53C8iNadsUWBAB9jHTvF-8h1619aGvuF5qAN3gg
This looks brilliant fun and should go a little way to bridge the gap left by the Eurovision Song Contest this year!
Well I am exhausted just writing all this down to be honest! It is certainly a weekend to celebrate drag! So put on your best heels and lippy, adjust your wig and see you there! Who said we had time to leave the house?
Which event are you fancying on seeing or do you fancy them all? Do you know of other events happening this weekend, then please let me know!
Remember when it rains look for rainbows 🌦🌈
